EcoNatural is Climate Neutral
Our EcoNatural Line toilet paper and
handtowels have achieved Climate Neutrality.
Climate Neutrality is a new milestone to reduce our impact on the planet in line
with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Rising to the challenge,
we are already cutting most of our emissions through efficient production processes,
innovative packaging, clean electricity, water resource optimisation and low-impact shipments.
And to offset the CO2e emissions we haven’t yet been able to avoid,
we invest in projects that protect the environment.
Because our planet is our priority.

At Lucart Professional, technological innovation has to go
hand in hand with environmental responsibility.
This has always been the case for our products and is now for our packaging too.
The Sustainable Packaging Programme testifies to the commitment of Lucart, and the Lucart Professional brand in particular, to adopt innovative technologies for the production of increasingly sustainable primary and secondary packaging using recycled and/or compostable materials.
The aim of this ongoing process is the adoption, where technically possible, of packaging made from recycled plastic or paper, in addition to recycled and recyclable cardboard cores, and the reduction of packaging thickness and process waste.

Our ongoing commitment to reducing our impact on the planet
is testified by leading international certifications.
Lucart was the first Italian company to obtain EU Ecolabel certification
and one of the first to receive the PEFC and FSC® certifications.
EcoNatural toilet paper and hand towels produced in the Diecimo and Laval-sur-Vologne sites have obtained product Climate Neutrality in compliance with international standards, certifying that all greenhouse gas emissions generated throughout the product’s life cycle in a defined period of time have been reduced or offset to zero.
The Climate Neutrality process was based on the PAS 2060 standard.
EU Ecolabel certifies that products comply throughout their entire life cycle with strict environmental protection criteria shared by all European Union countries: reduced water pollution, reduced air pollution, reduced greenhouse gas emissions and low electricity consumption.
FSC™ Recycled identifies products made with recycled paper. FSC™ is an international non-governmental organisation promoting the responsible use of forest resources.
Products with the PEFC certification logo guarantee that the management of forests from which the pulp is sourced complies with environmental and social sustainability requirements defined at European level.
All EcoNatural products manufactured at Lucart’s Laval-sur-Volgone site are Cradle to Cradle® certified, the global standard that defines the quality and safety of products manufactured for the circular economy. Cradle to Cradle® certification testifies that a product is eco-designed for infinite recycling and therefore beneficial for the environment in every stage of its life cycle, from design to use and reuse.
Products with the OK Compost Industrial certification logo, owned by TÜV Austria and recognised across Europe, are guaranteed biodegradable and compostable in an industrial composting plant, including their components, inks and additives, in compliance with the requirements of standard UNI EN 13432.
ReMade in Italy® is the first product certification in Italy and Europe accredited to determine the recycled material content in finished products. The ReMade in Italy® label also highlights the lower environmental impact of using recycled instead of virgin material.
